Will Johnson has been serving the local church in worship ministry for over 15 years. From portable church plants to multi-site mega churches and congregations ranging from 100 to 12,000, he understands the nuances of leading worship and worship teams in a wide range of contexts. 

As the Weekend Lead at 2|42 Community Church, Will oversees and coaches worship staff across seven campuses and leads worship cohorts for network churches. With a Masters Degree in Music Theory from Butler University, Will is a regular speaker at creative arts conferences such as Churchfront Live and the Overflow Worship Conference on topics such as band direction, musical excellence, and worship culture. Will is a gifted musician, creative, coach, and strategist who is passionate about giving churches, worship leaders, and worship teams the tools they need to be the best versions of who God created them to be and to lead with excellence and authenticity. 

In his role as an Associate with Slingshot Group, Will loves connecting the right creatives to the right churches, shepherding churches and church leaders through transition, and coaching creatives stepping into new seasons of ministry. 

Will and his wife Maggie live in Michigan with their two kids, Penny and Oliver. They love travel, skiing, Asian food, and good coffee.
