For more than 25 years, Brent Dyer has led worship ministries in churches ranging from 200 to 15,000 in attendance. Today, in addition to his work as an Executive Consultant with Slingshot Group, Brent owns and operates Renewing Hope Counseling in Houston, Texas, where he leads a team of 30 clinicians providing trauma-informed care to individuals, couples, families, and leaders. Through his experience in both single-site and multi-site congregations, Brent has honed his skills as a strategic, creative, and visionary leader with a deep understanding of the unique pressures facing church staff and executive teams.

One of Brent’s greatest passions is seeing people around him thrive and become who God created them to be. This is demonstrated by his deeply relational approach to ministry and life, as well as by the many worship pastors across the nation whom he mentors and coaches. He also founded The Backstage Project, a nonprofit initiative that supports creatives, leaders, and public-facing professionals navigating burnout, identity loss, and personal crisis.

Currently a doctoral student in pastoral counseling, Brent brings a rare combination of clinical training, extensive ministry experience, and executive leadership insight to his work at Slingshot. He and his wife, Jill, live in Houston, have two grown children, love to travel, and enjoy spending time with their mini-goldendoodle, Layla.
