North Parkersburg Baptist Church has a rich history of serving Parkersburg and the surrounding area for over 100 years. The early years were marked with an unwavering faith in God and a devotion to His mission of impacting the lives of people in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Ministries were established and facilities were built to accomplish His mission.
Throughout the decades, the church developed and changed as more people began to experience the love of Jesus Christ. Ministries have been added to promote Christian education; outreach in the community expanded; clinics were founded to provide care through foreign missions; and people have continued to remain faithful to ministering each week to the needs of others.
New ministries have been added as we continually seek God’s direction for the future growth of the church and the impact the body of Christ can make on this community and the world.
Although, the method of ministry may have adapted over time, sharing the message of the gospel has remained the sole purpose of each person serving at North. The Student Pastor will build a strong ministry for middle and high school students to produce lifelong disciples. Through the leadership skills of collaboration, vision casting, and team leadership, he will create environments for strategic growth to make more and better disciples.
