About This Organization

YFC Indian River County is a chapter in the larger organization of Youth for Christ USA. Youth for Christ reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

Position Description

The Executive Director exists to lead and manage the YFC ministry in Indian River County. This includes casting vision, implementing strategy, managing a healthy financial account balance, supervising staff and volunteer leaders, and empowering the YFC team to establish a fruitful and sustainable ministry. The role of the Executive Director will have a heavy emphasis on fundraising and community relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Development (approx. 55% of time)

  • Create and implement a development plan which is consummate with the overall objectives of the annual budget.
  • Discover, invite, and steward donors as partners of the organization and cultivate donors toward their full giving potential. Engage high-value leads to discover and identify major donors, including but not limited to churches and individuals.
Resource Management (approx. 25% of time) 
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget. Build relationships with the community, oversee grants and acquire new grants, and regularly update donors on ministry news and needs of the ministry
Team Development (approx. 10% of time) 
  • Recruit, identify, and select staff, volunteers, and board members. Provide leadership of the Board and staff, including formulating a staff development plan using YFC training platforms. Lead and develop the board, staff & volunteers to work towards forwarding the mission of YFC.
Strategic Planning (approx. 10% of time) 
  • Develop a 3 to a 5-year strategic plan, and a 1-year marketing plan and communicate and align YFC’s vision and mission to operations and ministry.
