Pinelake Church began with a big vision from a small group of people in 1971. Since then, God has done more than they could ask or imagine. They are now a multisite church with five campuses across Mississippi that reaches over 17,000 people each week. The Oxford campus averages about 2000 worshipers every weekend.
Last year, over 700 people were baptized at Pinelake (including 350 at their outdoor baptism event), and their prayer is to see even more in the years ahead. Pinelake’s campuses reach a wide range of ages and demographics. There are three diverse campuses throughout the Jackson metro area, and they have campuses located near both Ole Miss and Mississippi State University. They’ve seen thousands of college students worship with them across multiple services on Wednesday nights. God is doing something incredible!
Today, Pinelake’s driving force is to “Be the Church” in the cities, colleges, and communities of their state—and beyond—by making disciples who Grow, Pray, Connect, and Share. They have a vision to see Mississippi changed from the Delta to the coast, from the backroads and bayous to the boardrooms and baseball stadiums. That’s because seeing lives changed never gets old.
The Worship Pastor is the primary leader of the worship and technical teams for Pinelake’s Oxford, MS, campus. This person is responsible for the spiritual health and musical development of the teams under his/her care. As a leader, the Worship Pastor will develop, implement, direct, and promote a Worship Ministry that is relevant to both the Pinelake Oxford congregation and the wider community. The Worship Pastor also serves as the primary worship leader for Sunday worship services and other services as appropriate.
