Family Worship Center

Worship Pastor

Lakeland, Florida

Why I Love This Opportunity

David Santistevan

Senior Associate

God is doing a great work in Central Florida at Family Worship Center. This is a community that loves the presence of God and prioritizes worship. I’m excited to help them find their next Worship Pastor because this is a gifted, humble team ready for a new season.

About This Organization

Family Worship Center began in the late 1980s with its founding pastor, Reggie Scarborough. Centered on the Word of God, spiritual gifts, and the moving of the Holy Spirit, the church grew at a steady pace from then until now. As with most successful startups, they found themselves frequently out of space. Eventually, they found their way to 1350 East Main Street, the original home of Lakeland First Assembly of God. After multiple renovations, they eventually built a state-of-the-art sanctuary across the street, in 2012. As executive pastor at the time, Shawn Scarborough saw the new sanctuary build to fruition. Soon thereafter, he and his family moved to Denver, Colorado to start a church. After 7 years of ministry, Pastor Shawn heard God’s voice to move he and his family back to Lakeland. In the latter part of 2019, Shawn assumed the role of Family Worship Center’s senior pastor. With his compelling style of diving deep into the Word, he provides fresh revelation on a week-to-week basis to a thriving congregation, continually fostering the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ.
