From its earliest days CEFC has emphasized being a force in the community and not a fortress from the community. It is a down-to-earth place with real people who love God and are focused on reaching people in central Pennsylvania. From a small group in 1984 to up to 2,000 people who call CEFC home today, God is at work in this church. Pastor Shad Baker has been the Lead Pastor at CEFC for 17 years and the church and staff has grown under his leadership. It’s a place where excellence and creativity is valued – all with a desire to keep the main focus – “all of life for Christ.” The staff culture at CEFC is a fun, relational environment of leaders who know the “why” of ministry, strive for excellence, put people first, believe the best in others, and invest in others.
The Carlisle area is a vibrant community outside of Harrisburg, the capital city of Pennsylvania. It is a place with deep roots in American history and has a rich heritage. The area is known for its entrepreneurial companies, the Capital city, beautiful rivers and mountains, and a safe, thriving city to raise a family.
The new Worship Pastor at CEFC is stepping into a great culture with a passionate team. With over 30 worship and production volunteers, the groundwork is laid for increased momentum and life change to happen in this worship ministry. Key priorities of this role include developing leaders and building teams. CEFC has a vision to plant more campuses and spread its influence across the region. With worship being a massive part of that vision, it will necessitate a worship ministry that is actively developing musicians, worship leaders, and creatives. In addition, a priority is for the worship pastor to be skilled in leading engaging worship. CEFC wants to see the people of God engaged in passionate worship.
The Creative Arts Department is a growing, unified team of skilled creatives. It’s made up of a Creative Director, Videographer, Creative Assets Manager, and Production Director. The Worship Pastor will work alongside this team to plan worship services, lead worship, develop the team, and cast vision for the worship culture. They are young, humble, and hungry to make a difference. With the right leader, the worship ministry will thrive and and have deep influence in this great church.
