Position Description

The new Worship Leader should have strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills, creativity and stage presence, expertise in production and technology capabilities, and above all, be a caring pastor and shepherd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Pastor to plan, lead and execute corporate worship gatherings
  • Manage and lead the worship ministry staff and oversee the execution of the related budget
  • Collaborate with other ministries including children and students to provide worship opportunities such as mission trips, music camps and multigenerational worship experiences
  • Pastor, shepherd and lead worship ministry participants and the church at large
  • Lead a comprehensive music ministry including children, youth and adult choirs, orchestra, handbells, ensembles and special events
  • Lead comprehensive audio, visual, lighting and broadcast ministry teams

 

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • Experience and skill in leading a choir and orchestra program
  • Ability to optimize the use of AVL system capabilities in church sanctuary
  • Ability to lead a wide range of talents from students to professionals
  • Collaborative team player
  • Prefer five years of applicable experience
