Worship Pastor

Spotswood is looking for someone who not only possesses strong music and leadership skills but also radiates warmth—a true shepherd because loving people is what makes this church special. Connections matter deeply and fuel the mission to impact lives with the Gospel on and off the campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as primary worship leader for corporate gatherings, providing a consistent pastoral presence in Sunday services
• Oversight of, and leadership in, both worship hours
• Plan and coordinate services consistent with the Senior Pastor’s direction
• Vision casting for future worship services
• Recruiting and developing worship team musicians
• Direct the planning, coordination, operation, and evaluation of a comprehensive church music program to include Choirs, Orchestra, Vocal/Instrumental ensembles
• Oversee the coordination of student ministry worshipBe a resource for other ministries in their worship needs

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

• Musical training and ability which includes skill in singing/playing an instrument, preferably guitar or piano
• Authentic love for Christ and commitment to follow Him as a Southern Baptist Pastor
• Education and degree from a school of music and/or seminary is preferred
• An understanding and full support of the mission and ministry of SpotswoodAbility to plan and manage multiple projects
• Above-average interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
• Responsible and able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as with other church staff members and volunteers
• An understanding that teamwork is a vital component of a vibrant ministry.
