Sevier Heights is seeking a full-time Worship Leader to join their incredibly gifted team to lead, plan, and direct meaningful worship experiences each weekend. For the right candidate, this opportunity offers an exciting change to do life and ministry for many years to come.
The Creative Arts Ministry at Sevier Heights features modern and relevant worship experiences each week. On Sunday, congregants will find three service options – one with choir/orchestra and two led by bands. While the styles have subtle differences, the experience, the set list, and the flow are all identical. The highly creative staff works to coordinate sermon series, print graphics, web, and film to create a seamless worship experience for those attending. Although the church is multi-generational, the congregation is trending younger and younger. With more than 1300 college students attending the Sunday night service, this segment of the population drives many of the decisions the staff makes.
The new Worship Leader will be responsible for planning, executing, and leading worship experiences at Sevier Heights each week. Working in collaboration with the Senior Pastor and worship staff, the Worship Leader will craft meaningful worship experiences that inspire awe and draw people into the presence of God each week. Strong vocal skills, ability to lead from an instrument (preferably guitar), and excellent stage presence will be marks of the new Worship Leader. Additionally, the right candidate will know how to “read the room,” and have a high emotional IQ. As a team player, the right candidate will know how to inspire and lead both large and small groups of people, as well as prioritize interpersonal relationships with members and fellow staff. The new Worship Leader will need to have experience leading worship with choir and orchestra, as well as bands. For the right candidate, Sevier Heights offers the chance to be part of a robust, healthy, and meaningful ministry.
