Vintage Church is a growing, vibrant, thoughtful, and culturally savvy church in Los Angeles. The church is at an exciting and important transition as it matures from being an 11+-year-old church plant to becoming a continued stable and influential church and network in the region. The Executive Director of Operations will help to build the systems and structure to ensure the effective and healthy continuation of their unique ministry.
Vintage Church was started by Ger & Lizzie Jones in 2011. They were called by God and encouraged by one faithful Christian who was a resident of LA looking for a church like the one Ger & Lizzie came from, Holy Trinity Brompton in London. Five years into the church planting journey, Vintage went from portable to permanent being gifted a church building and campus through merging with Trinity Baptist Church (a one-hundred-year-old congregation).
Vintage is in a very good position coming out of the global pandemic. The attendance, ministries, giving, and service to the community are steadily growing. With around 1,200 people attending on the average weekend, the staff is being positioned to accommodate 2000 people on the Santa Monica campus with aspirations to start more churches around the region in years to come.
Vintage Church has a growing network of churches in the Los Angeles area. They have planted two churches, Vintage Malibu and Vintage Pasadena, and seek to plant more across Los Angeles. The churches in the Network are fully autonomous but remain relationally connected through the Vintage Network. This Network keeps the churches together through shared values, helping each other practically and in ministry, and also planting churches together.
Vintage is strongly connected with the global church. It is part of the Holy Trinity Brompton (England) family of churches, and through the ordination of Vintage Pastors, Vintage is strongly connected with the Anglican Church. Vintage also has strong relationships with other churches and pastors such as John Mark Comer (Bridgetown Church), Jon Tyson (Church of the City, New York), Pete Greig (24/7 Prayer), and Mike Pilavachi (Soul Survivor, UK).
Vintage has strong ties to Alpha which are not only evident as an important ministry for evangelism, but also as an integral part of the culture of the church. Vintage has one of the strongest and largest Alpha ministries in America, and regularly holds conferences to coach and resource other churches to run Alpha in their context.
Vintage Church is at an exciting inflection point of growth and impact in Santa Monica and its neighboring communities — the Executive Director of Operations will immediately lead and shape the operational structure of Vintage at this critical juncture.
This role will report to the Senior Pastor and provide direction, instill process, and oversee the execution of operational and support functions at Vintage Church, including finances, facilities, marketing, production, project management, and human resources.
