Victor Valley Christian Church

Family Pastor

Hesperia,
California
There is an opportunity to create a family ministry in a growing church that is positioned to meet the needs of the community. The Family Pastor will provide vision, leadership, and oversight to all family ministries from birth through young adulthood. This includes preschool through fifth grade (Kids Ministry), middle and high school students (Student Ministry, grades 6–12), and young adults (ages 18–30). The Family Pastor equips leaders, partners with parents, and ensures that each ministry aligns with the church’s mission and teaching.

Why We Love This Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a healthy team in a growing church. Victor Valley is a great place to grow a ministry working alongside seasoned volunteers and leaders. They value family ministry and want to see Jesus shared with the families in the community.

A great match for this position would be:

  • This leader must value unity in the church and with other churches.
  • This leader must thrive in a fast-paced ministry environment.
  • This leader must be a team builder.
  • This leader must be comfortable with collaborating with other areas of ministry through long-term planning for events and curriculum.

About This Organization

The church was founded in 1969. In early 2022, Pastor Dan joined VVCC as Senior Pastor. Since his arrival, he has shifted the priority of the church to become a blessing to the community. The church focuses on unity and outreach and that has resulted in a steady stream of new families that have little to no church background. In response to that, the church has developed a ministry opportunity each night of the week to serve people where they are at. On Mondays, Pastor Dan leads a discipleship discussion for the leaders in the church. On Tuesdays, Pastor Dan and Pastor Ashley team-teach a bible study that focuses on answering questions about the bible.  On Wednesdays, Pastor Dan and Pastor Ashley lead an Alpha course three times per year. In January of 2026, we launched a Thursday night service that matches our services on Sunday mornings at 9 am and 11 am. During the year, our church will fast together for Lent, host a community-wide trunk or treat event, and kick off a busy Christmas season with a community tree lighting on our campus. Currently, VVCC is committed to serving the community, preaching the gospel, and developing Christians to do the same.
