Valley Ridge Church

Kids Minister

Lewisville,
Texas

About This Organization

Valley Ridge Church, The First Baptist Church of Lewisville, has served Lewisville since 1869, when 13 people gathered to form Holford Baptist Church. Today it sits on Valley Ridge Boulevard in South Denton County, where it added a dedicated Kids Wing in 2019.

The church is in a season of real renewal. Since Dr. Josh King became Lead Pastor in January 2024, attendance has rebounded and the church has celebrated dozens of baptisms and welcomed new families. In 2025, it adopted the name Valley Ridge Church to honor its heritage while embracing its future.

Families are at the heart of that future. RALLY, a full-family Sunday night with ministry for every age, has significantly increased participation since launching in August 2024. Valley Ridge’s NextGen ministries, from preschool through high school, are committed to safe, fun, Gospel-centered environments and see kids as an essential part of the church today.
