About This Organization

Africa Renewal Ministries is a Christian non-profit organization in Uganda founded by Pastor Peter Kasirivu in 1990. Our desire is to see lives and communities transformed by the love of Christ. Through Africa Renewal, people are finding hope. Children have access to education, medical care, leadership training, and spiritual discipleship. Students are earning advanced degrees. Pastors are receiving theological training. Families and communities are experiencing renewal.

Position Description

The role of the US President is to oversee and coordinate all operations of Africa Renewal Ministries, Inc., in the USA. A primary focus of the US President is partnership development, including fundraising for all the entities of Africa Renewal Ministries and growing relationships with our strategic partners. These include but are not limited to major donors and churches. The US President will work directly with the Global Ministry Team Leader and his staff to accomplish the goals of Africa Renewal Ministries in Uganda.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Development

  • Establish, develop, and maintain donor, church, and entity relations as primary voice and face of the USA Office.
  • Fulfill the objectives of the Board approved Development Plan and make recommendations to the board for any modifications to the plan.
  • Create and manage an ongoing 3-year Strategic Plan for the ministry that can be updated annually.

 

Personnel

  • Recruit, hire, oversee, evaluate, counsel, discipline, and fire USA employees and contractors in consultation with appropriate leadership.
  • Maintain the Employee Manual, including position descriptions, employment agreements, and contracts, in conjunction with the Operations Director.
  • Oversee department directors, insuring they fulfill their roles and responsibilities as outlined in their job descriptions.
