Youth Pastor

The Youth Pastor will be responsible to:
Develop a Youth Ministry that will make disciples of junior high and high school students in accordance with Matthew 28:19-20.
Shepherd students and partner with parents in making disciples.
Provide resources for students to grow in their relationship with God and others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective and relevant biblical teaching.
• Effectively teach that God’s Word is the authority in students’ lives
• Prepare biblically based messages that are relevant to the life of the students
• Connect with and equip students, parents, and leaders
• Plan events, retreats, mission trips, and other opportunities for students to connect to God
• Create outreach and service opportunities
• Disciple students through small groups, service, campus visitation, and other means
• Identify, train, and create a strategic plan to develop leaders to disciple, connect, and serve students
• Connect and partner with parents through consistent communication and support in building the home
• Develop an efficient student and parent tracking system to keep families plugged in to and engaged in the ministry
• Create and maintain the mission and vision for Twin River’s Junior High and High School Youth Ministries
• Communicate a clear mission and vision known by students, parents, leaders, and the church
• Develop and maintain strategies that focus on prayer both with the students and in their homes
