Staff Culture
- The staff operates as a highly collaborative, “familia” team where separate ministries are never siloed and everyone eagerly jumps in to help with the win.
- Personal family time is fiercely protected across the organization, which is why the church deliberately chooses not to hold Saturday night services so staff can be present with their families.
- The team functions within a healthy, open, and feedback-rich review environment where gentle but pointed evaluations are conducted quarterly against core values and goals.
- Every leader fully embraces a “pastor, priest, missionary, minister” ethos, remaining dedicated to the belief that the burden of ministry belongs to the whole body rather than just the staff.

Key Responsibilities
- You will develop and lead engaging weekly large group worship experiences and Connect Groups that guide middle and high school students into deeper discipleship.
- You will actively recruit, equip, and train a dedicated team of adult Serve Team Members to help reach students for Jesus and build a culture of student leadership.
- You will build foundational structures, systems, and processes to support the ministry and bridge the operational gap caused by our church’s recent rapid growth.
- You will build strategic partnerships with parents, equipping and supporting them as they lead their students’ spiritual development at home.
- You will develop meaningful connections within local schools, partnering with coaches and administration to reach students on their own campuses with the Good News of Jesus.
- You will plan, schedule, and coordinate dynamic events, including mission trips, summer camps, and regular social retreats.
- You will create and maintain an inclusive, inviting environment that specifically welcomes and engages students with special needs.
- You will collaborate closely with other church departments, such as the creative team, to ensure the student ministry shares resources and thrives as part of our highly familial and collaborative staff.
Key Qualifications
- Demonstrated history of intentional discipleship, team building, and a clear track record of successfully developing adult volunteer leaders.
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- A proven track record of consistently teaching and serving as an engaging primary communicator to a large room of students.
- Capacity to function exceptionally well, display initiative, and maintain a creative, problem-solving mind in a high-paced and fluid environment.
- Strong ability to effectively navigate cultural diversity and connect with an eclectic cross section of socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.
- Deep commitment to establishing The Local Church as your personal home church and living out the organizational DNA within the community.
