The District Church has a passion for reaching unchurched people and raising up the next generation of Christ-followers who believe the local church is God’s plan to change the world. We believe that our work here has just begun.

The District Church is a “Church For The City” that has from the very beginning sought to impact D.C. for Christ, one neighborhood at a time. The focus has always been and will continue to be to make disciples of Jesus who live out their God-given mission in life.
They long to be missional as they live out a generous, spirit-led faith in everyday life. They long to be multicultural in one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world by making disciples of all nations on earth as it is in heaven. They long to be multiplying as we develop leaders and churches in D.C. and beyond.
They are embarking on a phenomenal season in the life of our church. A season of trusting that God can multiply their influence as they better disciple the hearts of our people and more boldly advance our mission as a church.
The Worship Pastor position is for someone who has a passion for the church and discipling the community in worship. They are a worshiper at the core of who they are; they are spiritually hungry and desire to grow continually.
The Worship Pastor needs to be a leader both on and off stage and their love and commitment to Jesus is evident in their manner of living and leading. This person has a gift to shepherd the community alongside the Pastoral team as they grow other leaders. As a multicultural church with many nations represented in our community, this person must have the ability to lead and disciple people from diverse cultures through worship.
