About This Organization

Sun Grove had its first public service in 1991 after families had been gathering together since 1989. They purchased a small warehouse that was quickly outgrown and made the decision to be a portable church in 1992. Sun Grove met in two local high schools until Lead Pastor Dave Flaig, who came in 2009, led Sun Grove into the purchase of a fantastic, modern 45,000 sq ft. building.

Sun Grove enjoyed a steady growth to about 1000 weekend attendees until the pandemic forced lockdown. Sun Grove began meeting in person in early 2021 but shortly after that Dave Flaig unexpectedly passed away. Brian Werner who was the Executive Pastor at the time became the interim pastor in 2021 leading the church thru the grief process. In May 2022 Brian was officially announced as the Lead pastor.
