I love this opportunity because the new youth pastor has a chance to step into a healthy church and healthy ministry and build on a healthy foundation. The current student ministry is running over 250 students and they have dozens of volunteers. So the opportunity to grow an already large student ministry is an incredible job for the right person. In addition, this person will have the chance to preach on Sundays and be developed in a greater leader, as the focus of the leadership of Freedom is heavily invested in developing leaders. For someone who wants to grow as a leader and use their gifts in a significant way, this is a great opportunity.
Freedom Church exists to help people far from God but close to you find freedom in Christ. Sure, there are lots of ways to describe what a church is like, but we figure that it’s pretty important that we tell you up front that Jesus is what we’re all about. So if some would like to know more about Jesus, this is the place for them. Everyone is welcome here… whether they are already following Jesus or they’re just curious.
