The Director of Worship is responsible to design and implement worship experiences and events that are both biblically significant and culturally relevant. This person shall provide spiritual, artistic and administrative leadership to the music ministry and all areas of church life and ministry related to worship and the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a philosophy of worship and arts ministry, which is consistent with the overall philosophy of ministry of Sequim Community Church.
• Provide vision and leadership to the Worship, Music & Arts Committee.
• Recruit, lead, supervise and provide ongoing training and discipleship of both paid and volunteer staff for worship, music & arts.
• Plan and share leadership of all worship services and special services as deemed appropriate, in consultation with the Lead Pastor.
• Direct or provide direction for the musical teams at SCC.
• Select, guide, train, and shepherd members of the SCC Worship, Music & Arts teams.
• Responsible for the acquisition and maintenance of all musical instruments and other equipment used primarily in worship and arts ministries.
• Perform or assign administrative duties necessary to the functioning of the worship and arts ministries.
• Provide opportunities at all age levels for the congregation to grow in the understanding and practice of Christian worship and in the use of the arts in the service of God.
