Position Description

The Stewardship Leader is a high level leader that oversees the Stewardship Ministry to champion and drive a thriving culture of generosity. They will inspire and equip the church to live out true biblical stewardship and Empty the Jar through personal and sacrificial generosity in every aspect of their lives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify and communicate a compelling vision for the Stewardship Ministry
  • Develop and implement ministry strategies that cultivate a thriving culture of stewardship and generosity
  • Lead and shepherd the stewardship staff team while recruiting, training and leading volunteers who serve within the ministry
  • Plan, promote and drive church-wide stewardship and generosity efforts by fostering and cultivating partnerships with campuses and other ministries necessary to achieve ministry objectives
  • Identify or develop the tools and resources that will communicate the principles of biblical stewardship
  • Oversee benevolence care systems and their development to support campuses and other ministries
  • Teach stewardship classes and serve as a confidential resource and coach to disciple church members in stewardship and generosity
  • Analyze trends and explain key giving metrics to church Elders and leadership to support church-wide stewardship growth objectives

  • An efficient planner; able to coordinate multiple events and programs

  • An excellent writer, teacher, and speaker
  • Personal journey is marked by discipleship and generosity
