About This Organization

“I know the plans I have for your life. They are plans for your good, not plans to harm you. My plans for your life will give you great hope and a wonderful future!” – Jeremiah 29:11

Forty years ago, when God called Rick and Kay Warren to start a new church in Southern California at the base of Saddleback mountain, they had no money, no land, no buildings, and no members — but they had a dream! It was a God-inspired dream that had them ready for action and willing to risk it all.
Ephesians 3:20 says, “God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.”

For over four decades, God has taken hold of that dream and made it exponentially bigger than anyone could have ever imagined. Because of a dream, Saddleback Church has baptized over 50,000 people into God’s family. They have over 9,000 small groups meeting in homes and businesses around the globe. They have over 40,000 members on 19 campuses on four different continents. Because of a dream, they’ve sent over 26,000 members on a mission to every nation in the world.

This church family has provided over 2 million meals through its various food distribution centers and launched over 500 ministries serving people’s greatest pains. Because of a dream, Saddleback members have given over $1 billion to kingdom causes that have funded ministry all over the world. Now under the leadership of the new Lead Pastor, Andy Wood, Saddleback Church continues to be a living example that God keeps his promises because of a dream.
