The Senior Pastor and Board of Directors have been prayerful, thoughtful, and strategic as they prepare for their founding pastor of 41 years to retire from his senior pastor role. The Slingshot Group often spends countless hours coaching church leaders on what succession is and helps them think about what succession option might be best for them. Leaders at Rhema have been processing this for the past three years and are ready to help find the next leader(s) who will replace their beloved and highly respected founder.
Like many churches around the country/world, changes have occurred to how ministry is conducted and delivered since COVID. RCC is no exception. However, they took advantage of every opportunity that COVID presented to upgrade their facilities in preparation for the next chapter of the ministry.
We were founded with a core group of people over 40 years ago; RCC has become a church/ministry known for its community involvement, outreach, and broad-based culture. We do not attach ourselves to things that do not represent Christ. Our ministry sees itself as a sacred space. We hold a strong scriptural view of marriage and gender and appreciate a structured teaching methodology.
Also known for the practical teaching and personal application of God’s Word, Rhema’s Spirit-filled members give God the glory for its growth and impact and its significant influences on local, national, and global churches/ministries. The church is also well known for community service in the area of justice. We enjoy one another, laugh easily, and believe family is important.
