Renew Life carries a strong Grace, Faith, and Encounter culture where theology shapes how the church worships, leads, and builds. Authenticity, vulnerability, and honor are foundational. Trust is extended freely, and communication is direct and clear. Leadership is Senior Pastor-led and elder-governed, and alignment with senior leadership is essential. This role requires a builder, not a maintainer. Organizational leadership matters as much as platform gifting. Humility is a high-water mark of their ministry—and charisma alone will not carry this season.
Three theological pillars are key to this role:

Worship environments prioritize spiritual sensitivity, faith-filled declaration, and authentic encounter—not performance. The conviction is that worship should create space for authentic encounter with God. Cessationist theology or discomfort with charismatic expression would be a misalignment. Leadership is values-driven, not personality-driven or process-driven. Processes may evolve, but core values remain constant. As the church scales toward a multi-campus future, centralized alignment is essential before campuses move toward autonomy.
- Oversee the implementation of Renew Life’s worship philosophy, culture, and priorities across all campuses and worship environments
- Serve as primary worship leader for weekend services, ensuring spiritual and musical preparation across all worship environments
- Prepare worship programming, including service flow, transitions, ministry moments, and creative elements; manage and maintain all plans in Planning Center
- Design and implement scalable worship systems and structures that support multi-campus alignment and future campus launches
- Recruit, train, develop, pastor, and retain worship team members with clear expectations, feedback, and growth opportunities
- Build intentional leadership pipelines within the worship ministry to develop bench strength for long-term expansion
- Oversee and collaborate closely with Production
- Oversee worship elements across young adult, RLYTH, and RLKids environments
- Set annual goals for the worship department aligned with campus and organizational vision
- Manage the Worship Department budget, including operations, payroll, and contractor relationships
- Provide leadership and support for campus and organizational special events
- Provide leadership to staff direct reports
- 5–7+ years leading worship in a growing church environment
- Exceptional vocalist with proficiency in a rhythm instrument; fluent across contemporary worship styles
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead volunteer and staff teams
- Multi-site or campus launch experience strongly preferred
- Experience building leadership development systems and creating bench strength beyond personal involvement
- Organizational maturity beyond platform gifting—able to build systems and structures that outlast individual performance
- Able to move between relational intuition and scalable, repeatable systems & structures across multiple locations
- Direct, clear, and proactive communicator who raises standards without relational damage
- Emotionally healthy, secure in their identity, and steady under pressure
- Proficient in Planning Center and a Mac-based environment
- Songwriting experience a plus
