Key Responsibilities
- Develop vision and direction for worship services.
- Plan and execute Sunday morning and evening worship services.
- Team building, spiritual care, & discipleship.
- Oversee the purchase and maintenance of all needed audio gear and instruments.
- Staff leadership & administration.
Key Qualifications
Character:
- Fully embrace Redeemer East Side’s vision and have a gospel-oriented heart for New York City.
- Alignment with the core theological principles of Redeemer East Side, including its core ministry values.
- Creative and team oriented.
Experience:
- At least 5 years comparable experience leading a large worship arts program.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a congregation in vibrant, engaged, joyful worship.
- Experience with sound recording and production.
- Experience with office software (Google Docs and Sheets, Slack, Planning Center) or similar software.
- Instrumental and vocal competency that inspires confidence in other skilled musicians.
Leadership:
- Emotional intelligence and self-awareness that sustains influence with others.
- A team-building and collaborative style of leadership and decision-making.
- Platform communication that compels engagement and facilitates participation.
- An ability to integrate multiple styles of music and art to serve the larger mission and purpose of corporate worship at Redeemer East Side.
- An ability to manage and coordinate people and projects.
- A leader of leaders who can develop and coach others in worship leadership.
Education:
- A degree in music is preferred.
- A broad appreciation of music and art as well as cultural traditions and trends.
