Position Description

The Pastor of Operations will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations and logistics of the New Life church family to ensure we’re operating smoothly and functioning with a high degree of excellence.

This position will also coordinate pastoral care ministries that provide support, spiritual counsel, and compassion to team members during times of crises. This position requires strong leadership, administrative expertise, and pastoral giftedness. This will be a full-time position that reports to the Lead Pastor.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the strategic planning, preparation, implementation, and oversight of the yearly budget so that it aligns with the mission and vision of NLCC.
  • Coordinate all campus operations at physical location, including facilities maintenance, contract/vendor relationships, supplies, and event logistics.
  • One Note: It is likely that this position will provide leadership over at least one other are of ministry at New Life Church. This could include Pastoral Care, Counseling, College Ministry, or a similar area of passion for the successful candidate.

 

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • He will be teachable and work well as a member of a team.
  • He will be organized and able to communicate well with others.
  • He will demonstrate the ability to teach well in small group/classroom settings. The ability to preach as part of a “teaching team” is desired but not required.
  • He will have completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a field related to organize administration, ministry or a related field of study. Some theological training is preferred.
