The Executive Pastor of Operations is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational functions of New Life Church, ensuring efficient management and alignment with the church’s mission, vision, and goals.
This position requires strong leadership, administrative expertise, and pastoral giftedness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to clarify and advance church vision, goals, and strategy, including creating goal-oriented metrics to help the church achieve its long-range goals. In essence, “reverse-engineering” church goals into manageable and measurable steps church-wide and in specific ministries.
- Operational Oversight: Manage key areas including finance, facilities, human resources, IT, and office management, as well as contract/vendor relationships and event logistics. Handle business, tax, legal, and real estate matters related to church infrastructure. Oversee the logistics for baptisms and communion. Oversee security/safety team ensuring proper security training, policies, and protocols. Give oversight to all general policies and procedures for the church, as well as assist with ministry specific policies and procedures as needed. Oversee and ensure a smooth onboarding process of new staff members.
- Team Development: Give oversight to Administrative Assistant and Finance Director. Create and manage volunteer teams, including the relaunch of a deacon ministry to help with facility management and other operational tasks.
- Financial Management: Prepare and monitor the church budget in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and Elders.
- Facilities Management: Oversee maintenance, security, and scheduling of church facilities as well as staying ahead on church facility trends and advancements. Ensure church campus is always looking and functioning at peak level in order to achieve excellence in the aesthetics and functionality of our campus.

- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of relevant computer programs and software and the ability to acquire and learn new programs and technical skills.
- Education & Experience: A minimum of a college degree, with post- graduate education preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of
experience in operations or a related field.
