This role offers a rare and deeply meaningful chance to create tangible, life-changing impact for vulnerable children. As the Major Gifts Officer, you’ll have the privilege of helping current and potential donors focus their hearts and resources on breaking cycles of poverty, providing critical support—nutritious meals, education, spiritual growth, and opportunities for a brighter future. Few roles offer such a clear and immediate path to demonstrating God’s love in action, transforming lives in profound and lasting ways. This is an opportunity to truly “be the hands and feet of Christ” in bringing hope to the most forgotten children in the world.
ORPHANetwork partners with local churches and communities to bring holistic support to over 20,000 children annually. With deep roots in Nicaragua, programs focus on physical health, education, and economic sustainability … with the greatest priority on spiritual development.
What sets ORPHANetwork apart is an emphasis on seeing God’s Kingdom expand among the poorest of the poor children, in partnership with indigenous churches. Their compelling “why” is rooted in their desire to bring the fullness of life that Jesus promises in John 10:10—a life filled with hope, restoration, and purpose.
ORPHANetwork is motivated by three core beliefs:
They accomplish all of this through church-to-church connections and personalized engagement with gift partners. As they expand into new regions and deepen their impact, they remain steadfast in their commitment to Christ-centered care that transforms lives both now and for eternity.
Why Remote Culture Works Here
ORPHANetwork’s remote culture fosters flexibility, inclusivity, and global collaboration. The team stays deeply connected through shared mission, regular virtual meetings, and in-person vision trips to Nicaragua—bringing the impact of their work to life for themselves and their gift partners.
One of the most inspiring stories from ORPHANetwork is that of Lisbeth. Born in a refugee camp after Hurricane Mitch in 1998, Lisbeth faced significant challenges from the very beginning. She was one of the first children to join ORPHANetwork’s feeding program in 2005, receiving meals, educational support, and spiritual mentorship. Today, Lisbeth is a thriving accountant, married to Moses—who also grew up in the same program. Together, they are expecting their first child. Lisbeth’s journey shows that in just one generation, it is possible to break cycles of poverty and create lasting change.
Lisbeth’s story is just one of thousands of examples of the profound impact this role can have on vulnerable children and their families.
