One Life Church has a rich history of reaching their community fearless and innovatively. That heart still beats at One Life Henderson, and a leader who loves to dream big and love well will have the time of their life in this role!
In 2002, a young team launched a brand-new, next-generation worship service called “The Edge” as part of a large church in Evansville, Indiana. The growth was extraordinary, so they all decided to take this young leadership team and go just 12 miles down the road and across the river into Henderson, Kentucky, renovate a store in Eastgate Shopping Center, and plant the first location of what became the One Life Network. On 10/10/10, with 1000+ young worshippers in attendance, the doors opened to a church in Kentucky with a passion for great worship, compassion to build a great city, and a theme of “bring your brain to church,” providing a place for the shaping of an unborrowed faith.
But that was just the beginning. In 2012 the second One Life campus was launched in an old brewery across the river in Indiana on Evansville’s West side, and in 2013 the third site was launched on Evansville’s East side. One Life Network was three campuses planted in old buildings renovated by an army of passionate volunteers who were all about reaching their friends and neighbors. In fact, under every stage and floor covering at all three sites, names were written on the floor of the people that One Lifers were praying for.
Over the next few years, the three campuses of the One Life Network of churches would reach 2000 attendees, including over 500 kids. But in the middle of 2021, it was decided to reorganize this multisite model and deepen the contextual impact by relaunching the original site in Henderson, Kentucky, as a tier 2 campus with separate directional elders and independent financial management. While keeping the name, brand, and streaming of Sunday sermons, in May of 2021, One Life Henderson entered into a 3-year agreement with the One Life Network to separate campus leadership and to go deeper with a contextualized work of a church committed to worship, love, and compassion for their Kentucky friends and neighbors.
Today One Life Henderson is searching for a lead pastor to help reach the next generation in the city of Henderson and beyond.
The Lead Pastor of One Life Church will be responsible to the elders, staff, and congregation for collaboratively catalyzing the church forward into God’s vision for them in Kentucky and beyond.
