At Northwest Gospel Church, we sing in response to God’s Word and his work in our lives. In our gatherings, we use music to glorify God and to teach and remind ourselves and each other of the gospel. The Music Minister is the primary leader of the music team at NGC: Eastside, responsible for equipping and developing our volunteer musicians, leading Sunday gatherings, and fostering a culture of creativity that reflects the gifts God has given our church family. The Music Minister reports to the Executive Pastor of Ministries. Creatively, NGC: Eastside has a music team of 50+ volunteer musicians who serve in our Sunday gatherings. In music, we value creativity and long to use the strengths of our band members, rather than simply being a cover band trying to replicate the original recording. Over the past decade, we have released 10 singles/albums of original music, and lean into the creativity of our musicians and songwriters. Our vision is to foster an environment where the creativity of our volunteers is on display and used for God’s glory and the building up of the church.

About This Organization

Northwest Gospel Church Eastside has deep roots in Clark County, originally planted in 1938 as Vancouver Gospel Chapel. For over eight decades, this church has been a faithful presence in the community — weathering seasons of change while maintaining a steadfast commitment to the gospel. 

The church entered a new chapter in 2010 when Andrew Murch joined the team as the Lead Pastor, bringing a renewed emphasis on expositional preaching, biblical literacy, and gospel centrality. Under his leadership, the church has grown exponentially — not just in attendance, but in depth, vision, and impact. What was once a single congregation has become a multi-church family, and the culture that’s been cultivated reflects a community that takes Scripture seriously and loves their city deeply.
