About This Organization

Northwest Bible Church was founded in 1951 with a deep commitment to the authority of Scripture and the priority of global missions. From the earliest days of the church, the gospel and the mission of God were central priorities. In fact, before the church was able to financially support a full-time senior pastor, it was already supporting its first overseas missionary.

This commitment to missions continues to shape the church today. Northwest currently pledges more than $2 million annually to support missionaries and mission organizations around the world. The church also operates a refugee ministry center that serves people from dozens of nations and language groups, providing practical care and gospel witness through a team of staff and volunteers.

Today, Northwest Bible Church is a thriving multigenerational congregation. The church averages approximately 965 people in Sunday morning worship services with an additional 210 people participating online each week. Another 355 children and students participate in Sunday morning ministry environments.

The church campus includes 150,000 square feet on 12 acres located at the highly visible intersection of Northwest Highway and the Dallas North Tollway. The church carries no debt and operates with a $6.3 million general ministry budget supported by a broad base of generous givers across the congregation.

Northwest currently has 58 staff members and a strong culture of leadership development. The senior leadership team is largely in their 40s, while more than half of the staff team is under the age of 30, creating a dynamic blend of experience and emerging leadership.

Location

Northwest Bible Church is located in the northern part of Dallas, Texas, in the heart of one of the fastest growing metropolitan regions in the United States. The Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is known for its strong economy, major corporate presence, and an energetic culture that values achievement, entrepreneurship, and opportunity.

Life in North Dallas moves at a fast pace. Families are active and career driven, yet the area still offers abundant opportunities for recreation and community life. Residents enjoy convenient access to shopping, restaurants, parks, museums, professional sports, and world class healthcare. Summers are hot, but the city is designed for the climate with pools, indoor recreation, and shaded outdoor spaces throughout the region. Housing options range from urban living to suburban neighborhoods in nearby communities such as Plano, Richardson, and Frisco.

Dallas has long been associated with the Bible Belt, and churches remain a visible presence across the city. However, rapid growth and migration from across the country have shifted the culture. Many people still have some connection to church life, yet increasing numbers are spiritually curious but not actively engaged in faith communities. This creates a meaningful opportunity for gospel ministry and spiritual leadership in the city.

People are generally friendly and welcoming, but they also live in a highly driven environment where success and achievement are valued. Effective ministry in this context requires both humility and discernment, with the ability to connect with people across generations and life stages.
