
Key Responsibilites
- Worship Planning & Leadership: Plan and execute worship services in consultation with the Senior Pastor, providing musical direction and spiritual leadership for all worship activities.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and direct adult choirs, praise teams, and other musical groups while supervising sound, camera, and technical teams to ensure quality worship experiences.
- Resource Management: Purchase music and equipment, develop and maintain the music library, and supervise the maintenance of musical instruments to support worship ministry activities.
- Program Administration: Establish goals, manage facilities, plan budgets, and delegate tasks to effectively operate all aspects of the Worship Arts Ministry.
- Special Events Coordination: Plan and organize concerts, musical events, trips, tours, and retreats that enhance the church’s worship and outreach ministries.
- Staff Supervision: Oversee worship ministry staff, including part-time music employees, technicians, and leaders of various musical groups (children’s choirs, youth band, etc…).
- Pastoral Care: Participate in pastoral care for Worship Ministry members and perform weddings and funerals as needed to support the Senior Pastor.
Key Qualifications
- Spiritual Foundation: Fully committed to demonstrating characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of Biblical integrity, with a God-called ministry heart for church members.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree preferred in music, theology, or related ministry fields, with 5+ years of worship leadership experience.
- Musical Versatility: Knowledge of various music styles (traditional, contemporary, gospel), skilled in vocal performance and musical instruments, with experience leading multi-generational worship choirs.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using worship technology including lighting, worship software, sound systems, video production, and other technical support elements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal ability, engaging stage presence, and strong interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Leadership Abilities: Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work with teams and adapt plans when necessary to meet ministry goals.
- Growth Mindset: Willingness to learn and apply new skills, modify approaches as needed, and remain committed to the core values and mission of the church.
