Illinois
The Creative Director at Metro Community Church will have an incredible opportunity to lead and equip a team of creatives across worship, communications, video, social media, photography, and production. Why I Love This Opportunity

Metro is awesome! I really loved visiting with Seth, John and the entire team. It’s rare to find a role where theological conviction and creative energy are both required and celebrated — that’s what makes this opportunity special. This is a chance to steward influence, build teams people love to be on, and do work that actually changes lives.

About This Organization

Metro Community Church started in 1991 and has grown into a vibrant community with campuses in Edwardsville and Vandalia, Illinois, and an expanding online presence. It’s a place where people at every stage of life are invited into authentic relationships — with Jesus, with each other, and into the broader community. The church describes itself as “a collective of people navigating life’s challenges together,” and every ministry reflects that emphasis on belonging and real connection.

The culture at Metro is passionate about gospel transformation without pretense. Services are casual, relevant, rooted in Scripture, and designed to help people apply God’s truths to everyday life. This church is on a mission to see lives changed in homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

Metro believes the church exists first to worship God, present the Gospel clearly, and make disciples who care for and equip others. This conviction shapes how people serve, lead, and create experiences — with the Bible as the ultimate guide and relationships as the method of transformation.

Location

“Having lived in the Midwest for 2.5 years now, after spending most of my life on the East Coast, I can say that Edwardsville has made living far from home and the mountains quite easy. The community offers everything you would need/want: diverse restaurants (any cuisine you could want at varying degrees of presentation – cheap, medium, and fancy price ranges), loads of grocery stores, the walkability is fantastic, and the bike trails are so fun. The proximity to St. Louis (just a 25-minute drive). There are so many parks for the family to enjoy, and the education system is top-notch. One of the best things is that the distance from family has truly been offset by a phenomenal church staff and community that will become your family. Overall, Edwardsville is an incredible place to live!”
