Why I Love This Opportunity

Jada Swanson

Associate

This is a significant opportunity to lead at a high level at a church in an incredibly exciting season! Love of Christ Church seeks a highly relational leader, team builder, and systems developer to oversee all discipleship efforts. The Connections Pastor will play a key role in helping to take this church to the next level.

About This Organization

Love of Christ Church is a non-denominational, spirit-empowered, multi-generational, multi-ethnic church family affiliated with ARC (Association of Related Churches).
The church was founded in 1991. Over the next 11 years, as the church grew, it moved to three temporary locations before purchasing 12 acres of land in 2002, where the first campus was built in Bear, Delaware. Within three years, over 1000 people began attending. In 2015, a second campus was launched in the nearby region of Middletown, and through the faithful generosity of many people, both campuses became debt-free.

In September 2022, Love of Christ Church welcomed new Lead Pastors, Kirk and Shianne Pearson. The Pearsons graduated from Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas, and immediately launched into full-time ministry. The Pearsons are a fun and engaging couple whose vast ministry experience, relational style, and creativity bring a warm and dynamic approach to leadership! They love God, love people, and want to see them experience a life-giving relationship with Christ and pursue the abundant life God has for them. They also have a huge heart for investing in the next generation, a passion for showing Christ’s love to the community, and a vision for advancing the gospel–locally, nationally, and internationally. Pastors Kirk and Shianne have been married for 21 years and are blessed with two children.

This is an effective church with solid facilities, a talented staff, healthy finances, and a desire to expand its ministries in the local area and beyond. With a focused belief that the local church is the hope of the world, Love of Christ Church strives to create opportunities to connect with the unchurched effectively. The church is known for solid biblical teaching and extreme generosity within the local area, the nation, and the world.
