Living Faith Christian Church has been serving Long Island since 1952, beginning as a home Bible study and eventually growing into a regional church located in Farmingdale, New York. After relocating to its current Hempstead Turnpike property, the church became Living Faith Christian Church with a continuing vision to reach people throughout Long Island with the Gospel.
Today, Living Faith is experiencing an exciting season of renewed health and momentum. Since Senior Pastor Scott Lothery arrived in 2023, weekend attendance has grown significantly, more than 400 people have been baptized, ministries to children, students, young adults, marriages, and seniors have expanded, and new leadership development pathways have been established. The church has also raised $1.5 million toward capital improvements and reduced long-term debt from $3.5 million to under $1 million.
Living Faith’s mission is simple and compelling: to help people live by faith in Jesus Christ. The church is contemporary, evangelistic, Gospel focused, Bible based, and Spirit filled, with many people coming to faith without significant previous church experience. Its current strategic focus, Faith to Finish & Prepare, is helping the church deepen congregational health, develop ordained and lay leaders, strengthen organizational systems, steward its facilities, become debt free, and prepare for what God may bring in 2028 and beyond.
Located in one of the most densely populated areas of the country, Living Faith draws people from more than 130 ZIP codes across Long Island. The church sees its location as an extraordinary mission field and believes the coming years provide an opportunity to become an increasingly influential, multiplying regional church with generational Gospel impact.
Living Faith Christian Church is seeking an experienced, spiritually grounded Executive Pastor who can partner closely with the Senior Pastor to lead the staff, strengthen organizational systems, align ministries, and help translate vision into sustained action. This is a significant second-chair leadership role for someone who enjoys empowering others, building healthy teams, creating clarity, and driving execution in a growing church environment. The Executive Pastor will provide leadership across staff development, ministry alignment, operations, organizational structure, and leadership rhythms while serving as a trusted collaborator to Senior Pastor Scott Lothery.
This is not primarily a maintenance role. Living Faith is looking for a leader who can help the church build on a remarkable season of revitalization by strengthening trust, improving effectiveness, developing leaders, and preparing the organization for its next chapter of growth. The ideal candidate will be relationally wise, organizationally strong, spiritually mature, and energized by helping a Senior Pastor and ministry team succeed.
