Liquid Church began in 2007 when Tim and Colleen Lucas gathered a small group of friends around a bold vision to help “thirsty people” discover the life-giving message of Jesus. What began as a church plant has grown into a thriving multi-site church serving thousands of people each week across New Jersey, with a growing online community and more than 5,000 baptisms since the church began. Today, Liquid averages approximately 6,000 people in weekend attendance.
Liquid is a vibrant, multi-ethnic and multi-generational church committed to being a place for imperfect people. Its mission is to Saturate the State with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, helping people throughout New Jersey encounter Jesus and take meaningful steps in their faith. Liquid places a strong emphasis on biblical literacy, discipleship, serving others, and reaching the next generation, believing that young people are not simply the future of the Church, but an essential part of the Church today.

This Young Adults Pastor will join a church that is not simply looking to maintain its current ministry, but is actively imagining what could happen as it invests even more deeply in the next generation.
Liquid Church is seeking a dynamic, spiritually grounded Young Adults Pastor to lead and grow The Porch, its ministry to young adults across Northern and Central New Jersey. This leader will provide vision, teaching, discipleship strategy, team development, and event leadership while creating environments where young adults can know Jesus, build authentic community, engage deeply with Scripture, discover their God-given purpose, and become disciples who make disciples.
The Young Adults Pastor will build on an established ministry that currently gathers approximately 100–150 young adults at events, with a vision to consistently engage 200+ while significantly deepening discipleship, leadership development, and community. This is an opportunity for a relational and entrepreneurial ministry leader who can honor what God has already built while bringing fresh vision, strategic thinking, cultural awareness, and a multiplication mindset. The ideal candidate will be a compelling communicator, an intentional developer of leaders, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative church while remaining deeply rooted in Jesus.
