Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
- Provide spiritual and strategic leadership for all Next Gen ministries, aligning them with the church’s mission and vision.
- Lead and develop a team of ministry staff, fostering collaboration, unity, and excellence across age groups.
- Champion a unified discipleship process that connects ministries from early childhood through adulthood.
- Oversee budgets, staffing, and long-term planning for all Next Gen departments.
- Ensure all Next Gen environments are safe, welcoming, and engaging for both kids and parents.
Teaching & Pastoral Ministry
- Serve as the primary teacher and shepherd for the Young Adult Ministry, leading weekly gatherings and teaching God’s Word with clarity and passion.
- Equip young adults to live out their faith through community, service, and mission.
- Provide pastoral care and counseling for young adults as needed.
- Support and coach other ministry staff in their teaching and communication skills.
Team Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff and key volunteer leaders across all age levels.
- Cultivate a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Develop clear metrics and goals for spiritual growth and ministry health across the Next Gen spectrum.
Family & Church Integration
- Partner with parents to be the primary disciple-makers in their homes.
- Collaborate with adult ministry teams to create a seamless spiritual journey from childhood to adulthood.
- Represent Next Gen ministries on the broader pastoral leadership team, contributing to church-wide initiatives and vision.
Key Qualifications
- Must have a level of education and experience commensurate with the position: Bachelors degree or higher preferred and more than 10 years of related experience.
