About This Organization

Lifepoint Church launched in 2004 when God brought three founding pastors, Dean Fulks, Shane Tucker, and Troy Palermo to Columbus, Ohio, with a vision to plant a multiplying church on the north side of the city. Since that time, Lifepoint has grown to over 5,000 people who meet at 6 campuses in different parts of the city. Lifepoint also has over 4,000 people connected regularly in weekly small group communities called Lifegroups.

Lifepoint’s commitment to their values and vision have helped them become a multiplying church and leading model in church multiplication throughout the Midwest. Further, it has created a ministry ecosystem where discipleship flourishes and believers can invest their lives into multiplication as a way of life. At Lifepoint, you’ll experience a team oriented, vision driven, healthy church.

Position Description

The 1825 Pastor will oversee and facilitate the 1825 vision at the Lewis Center Campus, helping lead and develop people, teams, and environments to foster connection, growth, and multiplication among 18 to 25-year-olds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of ministry execution from ideation through implementation and follow-through on key initiatives. Give the extra 15% effort that leads to excellence.
  • Lead and oversee 1825 Lifegroups and Lifegroup leaders, discipling young adults through relational engagement and gospel-centered gatherings.
  • Identify, develop and care for 1825 leaders, building a culture of ownership and growth.
  • Foster the movement of Sunday-only young adults toward active participation in Lifegroups and the broader 1825 community.
  • Share in teaching and hosting responsibilities for 1825 experiences and events.
  • Collaborate with cross-campus staff and the worship team to create welcoming, engaging environments for 1825 events.
  • Be a team player by executing other miscellaneous duties as needed.

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • Ability to mobilize Sunday-only young adults into Lifegroups and the 1825 community
  • Creates clear next steps that regularly move people from passive Sunday attendance into active relational connection that leads to measurable growth in Lifegroup participation and midweek engagement
  • Thrives in executing a strategic plan for 1825 that drives leader development, group multiplication, and sustained growth
  • Sets a compelling direction, communicates it clearly, and builds systems to advance and support it
  • Attention to transforming the before and after event environments into vibrant, intentional spaces for connection
  • Recruits and releases a connections team that eliminates the “standing around” feel—adding greeters, signage, experiences, conversation starters, and social media interaction to make guests feel seen and plugged in
  • Demonstrates consistent follow through—turning ideas into action through teams
  • Visionary that can build teams and systems that get things done, mobilize others, execute with excellence, and finish strong, not stopping at 85% complete
