LifeFamily, originally known as LifeAustin, was founded in 2005 by Pastor Randy Phillips and his wife Denise in Austin, Texas. Randy Phillips, a member of the Dove Award-winning Christian music trio Phillips, Craig & Dean, brought his extensive background in ministry, music, radio, and television to establish a church focused on spiritual transformation through Jesus Christ.

The church began on the west side of Austin and has since expanded into a network of campuses across Central Texas. As of 2025, LifeFamily operates multiple locations, including in Austin, Bastrop, Dripping Springs, Leander, Marble Falls, Mueller, and Downtown Austin, as well as an online campus. This growth aligns with their vision to establish 10 locations in 10 years.

LifeFamily’s mission is encapsulated in the phrase “Every Life Made Different,” emphasizing spiritual awakening, authentic relationships, and service to God and the community.
