Why I Love This Opportunity

Todd Clark

Senior Associate

This Lead Pastor role at Coastal Community Church is a great opportunity for the right leader to join a healthy, thriving, dynamic, diverse church in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

About This Organization

Coastal Community Church was started in 1999 by Dr. Hank Brooks and his wife, Donna. The church began in the Brooks’ living room with five families– and spent the next 15 years as a mobile church. The heartbeat for starting Coastal was to do church differently, to reach people who didn’t know or didn’t remember that they were loved by Jesus.

The church has grown to around 1100 in the past 20 years as we’ve focused on welcoming people, helping them meet Jesus, and growing closer to him. There have been a lot of growing pains through the years, as with most churches, but through it all, we’ve managed to keep our sense of humor, our passion for growing God’s kingdom, and impacting this world.

In 2005, Coastal had the opportunity to go multisite, and that leap of faith is what God used to help us buy the land and build the church building we use today. We’ve strategically stepped back to one campus so that we can get ready to launch more campuses in the near future. We are multisite at heart, with a desire to see more people connect with Jesus.
