Lakeview Bible Church

Youth Pastor

Austin,
Texas
Lakeview is relaunching a healthy, disciple-making student ministry that feels like “home” for MS and HS students. This leader will oversee all things middle school and high school. If you love Scripture, small groups, and discipleship, you’ll thrive here. This is a chance to shape culture, not just run programs.

Why We Love This Opportunity

I love that Lakeview values depth over hype. The team is humble and collaborative, and families are eager for a steady leader to help students follow Jesus. If you love BBQ, the outdoors, and want to build something meaningful and durable, this is it.

A great match for this position would be:

  • Shepherd — Present & Discerning: Knows students and leaders by name and story; offers biblical care and wise, age-appropriate next steps.
  • Catalytic Leader — Vision to Rhythm: Casts a clear future and turns it into sustainable weekly practices others can own.
  • Creative Communicator — Clear & Contextual: Teaches Scripture in ways MS/HS can grasp and discuss; communicates simply with parents and volunteers.
  • Decision Maker — Calm & Timely: Weighs input, chooses a direction, and follows through without drama or delay.
  • Community Builder — People over Programs: Designs spaces and small groups where students belong, are known, and grow together.

About This Organization

It’s an exciting time to join Lakeview Bible Church. We have been a multisite campus of Hill Country Bible Church Austin for the past 16 years. On Sept. 7 2025 we launched as an independent church. We have a long, healthy history with HCBC, and thanks to their generosity and willingness to follow God’s leading we started with an amazing facility, almost 600 in weekly attendance, and no debt.

The current life of our church is excited and optimistic about the future. Being a part of HCBC has been so life giving, and now the opportunity launch out on our own to give even greater emphasis to reaching our local community is a blessing. Our congregation feels energized by the opportunities and challenges in front of us. We are already seeing a significant increase in interest in serving in all ministry areas.

As with anything new, there are a lot of things that we still need to figure out, and the staff person that steps into this role will get to play a significant part in helping to build what this place will be in the future.

Location

“I love living in this area because of the beauty of the Hill Country and the relational openness of the culture in Central Texas…the opportunity to reach people here is tremendous.”

Michael Spooner – Worship/Family Pastor
