Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and vision for the student ministry in alignment with the church’s mission, vision, and values.
- Teach and model biblical principles through preaching, small-group discipleship, and relational ministry so students grow in their faith.
- Lead and oversee the student ministry team; equip and empower volunteer leaders and mentors.
- Provide spiritual care and prayer support to students, leaders, and families; offer biblical counsel.
- Collaborate with parents to foster a strong partnership in students’ spiritual development.
- Lead outreach initiatives and service projects so students engage the community and grow in their faith.
- Create a safe, welcoming environment that promotes involvement and spiritual growth through relevant teaching and activities.
- Plan and facilitate retreats, camps, mission trips, and social events to build community.
- Integrate students into the broader life of the church (worship, serving, and church activities).
- Continually evaluate and improve programs and initiatives for effectiveness.
Key Qualifications
- Demonstrated Experience: leading or significantly building MS/HS student ministry.
- Proven Volunteer Recruitment: training, and care; able to multiply small-group leaders.
- Strong Bible Teaching: and discussion facilitation for MS/HS; aligns with church theology and practice.
- Systems Thinker: clear assimilation, parent communication, and event rhythms that serve discipleship.
- Collaborative Teammate: dependable, organized, and responsive communicator.
- Weekend/Evening Availability: ability to occasionally teach on Sunday AM as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent training/experience).
