Lakeview Bible Church

Adult Ministries Pastor

Austin,
Texas
This role leads Adult Ministries at Lakeview Bible Church, cultivating environments where men, women, and small groups grow in Jesus, deepen authentic community, and help saturate the Lake area with the Gospel. The position advances the church’s mission to glorify God and make disciples by inviting neighbors to pursue an authentic life with Jesus. Success includes identifying, developing, and deploying leaders while building strong, well-shepherded teams that take increasing ownership of ministry. Ultimately, adults across all ministry areas will clearly understand the church’s mission, vision, and values and actively grow as disciple-makers.

Why We Love This Opportunity

Lakeview Bible Church is stepping into a really unique season, and that’s what makes this opportunity so compelling.

After 16 years as a campus of Hill Country Bible Church Austin, Lakeview launched as an independent church in September 2025. That means this church carries the strength and health of a long-standing ministry while also stepping into the energy and possibility of a new chapter. Few roles offer that kind of combination—an established congregation with a strong foundation and the opportunity to help shape what the future will look like.

The congregation is excited about what God is doing. There is a real sense of optimism and ownership among the people of Lakeview as they embrace the opportunity to focus even more intentionally on reaching their local community. People are stepping forward to serve, leaders are emerging, and there is a growing desire to see the church continue to mature in discipleship and mission.

This role is especially meaningful because it centers on helping adults grow in their faith and become more deeply connected to the life of the church. The Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries will have the opportunity to develop environments where people build relationships, grow as disciples, and begin to invest in others. In many ways, this role sits at the heart of the church’s mission of helping people take next steps in their walk with Christ.

The location also makes this opportunity special. The Four Points area of northwest Austin continues to grow rapidly, filled with families and professionals who are looking for community and purpose. That creates meaningful opportunities for a church that wants to build relationships and share the hope of the gospel.

For the right leader, this role offers the chance to step into a healthy church, serve alongside a committed team, and help shape the next season of ministry for a congregation that is excited about the future.

A great match for this position would be:

  • The right leader for this role is someone who loves helping people grow in their faith and understands that discipleship happens best in community. This pastor will have a genuine passion for walking alongside adults as they take next steps in their relationship with Christ and become more deeply connected to the life of the church.
  • A strong candidate will be someone who enjoys building relationships and investing in people. They naturally connect with others, listen well, and have the ability to create environments where people feel known, encouraged, and challenged in their faith. Because this role focuses on adult ministries, the ability to develop leaders and equip others to lead groups and ministries will be especially important.
  • This leader will also be energized by the opportunity to help shape ministry in a church that is stepping into a new season. With Lakeview recently launching as an independent church, there are many opportunities to build, strengthen, and refine how adult discipleship happens across the church. The right candidate will enjoy both pastoring people and helping create structures that allow ministries to grow in a healthy way.
  • Strong candidates may come from a variety of ministry backgrounds. Some may already be serving in a role focused on adult ministries, discipleship, or small groups within a church. Others may have experience leading teams or ministries in a nonprofit setting while also demonstrating a clear pastoral calling and a heart for the local church.
  • Because Lakeview is experiencing significant growth, there may also be future leadership opportunities that develop over time. Depending on the gifts and calling of the person who steps into this role, the future could include paths such as executive leadership within the church, helping lead or launch a church plant, or other ministry opportunities that emerge as the church continues to grow.
  • If a candidate brings strong administrative and organizational gifts, it is possible that executive leadership responsibilities could develop in the future. If preaching and teaching are primary strengths, there may be opportunities to grow into broader pastoral leadership. Ultimately, the exact path will unfold over time, but the church desires to find someone who is eager to grow with the ministry and explore where God may lead.
  • That said, the central priority for this role is clear: finding a pastor who is passionate about adult discipleship and gifted at helping people grow in their faith today. As Lakeview continues to grow, the opportunities for leadership and ministry will likely grow as well, and it will be exciting to see how God shapes the future.

About This Organization

Lakeview Bible Church is located in the Four Points area of northwest Austin, Texas, and it is an exciting season in the life of the church.

For the past 16 years, Lakeview has served as a multisite campus of Hill Country Bible Church Austin. Through that partnership, the church developed a strong foundation of biblical teaching, healthy leadership, and meaningful community impact. In September 2025, Lakeview launched as an independent church, stepping into a new season of ministry with a deep sense of gratitude for the history it shares with Hill Country Bible Church.

Thanks to the generosity and support of HCBC, Lakeview began this new chapter with an incredible foundation: a beautiful and well-established facility, nearly 750-800 people gathering weekly, and no debt. This strong starting point has positioned the church well for the future and created a sense of excitement throughout the congregation.

The church is energized about the opportunities ahead. While the years as a campus were life-giving, becoming an independent church has allowed Lakeview to place an even greater focus on reaching and serving the local community. The congregation is optimistic about the future and increasingly eager to invest their time and gifts in the life of the church. In recent months, there has already been a noticeable increase in people stepping forward to serve in a variety of ministry areas.

Like any church entering a new season, there are still many things being built and clarified. The leader who steps into this role will have the unique opportunity to help shape the future of Lakeview Bible Church while building on a strong and healthy foundation.
