Mission, Vision, and Values
Mission:
To reach people who are far from God and help them become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
Vision (STRONGER):
King’s Church is building deeper in every area so they can send people farther in every direction. Rooted in Colossians 2:6-7, the vision is to be strengthened by God in every way so the church can be sent by God in every direction—locally, regionally, and globally.
Core Values:
- Gospel-Centered: Everything flows from the good news of Jesus Christ
- Spirit-Led: Dependent on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit
- Mission-Driven: Committed to evangelism, discipleship, and church planting
- Community-Focused: A place where strangers become friends and friends become family
- Boldly Biblical: Unapologetically rooted in Scripture and theological conviction
- Compassion for the Least of These: Active in serving refugees, the unborn, foster/adoption, fighting trafficking, and more
Staff Culture
- We do our work as unto the Lord: Everything is done with excellence, attention to detail, and as an act of worship to Christ.
- We don’t have a job, we’re on a mission: This is a calling, not a career; staff bring their whole heart every single day.
- We are a spiritual family, and we take ownership of our house: When we see a need, we meet it; when we see a problem, we fix it.
- We guard the vision, but we challenge the process: The mission is non-negotiable, but staff are empowered to innovate and improve how we get there.
- We believe character matters all the time: Integrity, purity, prayer, and short accounts are essential for spiritual leaders.
- We pass negatives up and positives down: Zero tolerance for gossip; concerns go to leadership, encouragement goes everywhere.
- We strive to be simply excellent: We don’t do everything, but what we do, we do with excellence.
- We unapologetically believe numbers tell a narrative: Every number is a person, and every person matters to God.
- We take care of ourselves and those who are closest to us: Staff can only give what they receive from Christ; self-care and team care are essential.
- We are in the people business: Hospitality is our most important strategy; we go out of our way to welcome, invite, and connect people.
- We’re serious about having fun: Joy, laughter, and celebration are part of the culture.
- We invest God’s resources with integrity, frugality, and generosity: Faithful stewardship in all things, starting with the tithe.
- We know that God’s presence is greater than our efforts: Apart from Him, we can do nothing; everything depends on prayer and His power.
