Pastor of Worship

The Worship Pastor will collaborate closely with the Lead Pastors and the Tech Director to design worship experiences that point to the message. This includes leading a weekly Review and Planning meeting to discuss the previous Sunday and plan for future services. Other responsibilities include:

• Lead rehearsal for worship and production team weekly on Tuesday evenings
• Create and maintain physical environments that are inviting and inspiring, helping attendees from various backgrounds feel comfortable and welcome in the auditorium
• Strategic song selection, working under the guidance of and in collaboration with the Lead Pastors and in unison with the Holy Spirit-led emphasis of the season
• Ensure the alignment of all aspects of the weekend service flow in pointing to the main Scripture and theme of the service
• Create a clear process to onboard, develop, train, equip, oversee, and evaluate volunteer worship leaders, vocalists, musicians, and tech volunteers
• Program gospel-centered, heaven-focussed yet missional worship elements that declare timeless truths of our Savior and call the congregation to deeper devotion

The Ideal Candidate:

Keystone is looking for a high-vision, people-loving, team-building leader who can partner with Lead Pastors Mike and Nicole to champion the new Holy Spirit-driven direction of Keystone from their public platform and relational influence as the Worship Pastor. As Keystone continues to grow and gain momentum in this season, the leader called to this role must identify with a few key qualities:

• A Team Builder. The Worship Pastor is someone who has proven experience building and leading large teams. They possess strong interpersonal skills, foster unity, and inspire collaboration among worship team members. They have the ability to create a strong team culture, build trust, and encourage effective communication, contributing to a harmonious and spiritually connected worship team.
• A Strong Platform Leader. On the platform, the Worship Pastor is energizing and engaging. They lead the congregation by example, inviting participation by leading with authenticity and excellence. The ideal candidate has strong musical knowledge and ability, technical know-how, and spiritual depth to take the team to the next level both musically and spiritually. They have the ability to create an attractive worship atmosphere and a compelling culture that draws in and keeps high-caliber team members
• A Strategic Vision Caster. Keystone is looking for a culture-creating, big-picture leader who has the strategic and organizational skills to ensure that tasks are accomplished. The ideal candidate works closely with Lead Pastors Mike and Nicole in prayerfully shaping and championing the vision of the church and plays a crucial role in the communication and practical expression of that vision to their team and from the stage
• A Friend of Feedback. The right match will be openhanded in their innovation and implementation of ministry. They seek out feedback and make adjustments freely and graciously. They visibly lead with humility and integrity and consistently promote unity in public and behind closed doors.
