Provides vision, strategy, and direction for the Journey Kids Ministry across Journey Church by defining clear outcomes, developing leadership pipelines, and designing the systems and resources that help kids and families love God, love life, and love others. This role focuses on developing leaders and equipping Journey Kids Leads to lead thriving teams while creating the ministry strategy, tools, and content that can be implemented consistently across all Journey Church locations and measured through clear ministry outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and strategic direction for the Journey Kids ministry across all Journey Church locations.
- Define clear outcomes and wins for Journey Kids environments and ministry initiatives.
- Lead and develop Journey Kids Leads through coaching, leadership development and goal alignment.
- Partner with Location Pastors to identify, hire, and onboard Journey Kids Leads, ensuring alignment with vision, values, and leadership expectations.
- Design and implement the strategy, systems, and leadership structures that helps kids and families grow in their faith.
- Create and oversee Journey Kids curriculum, resources and ministry content, including maintaining digital resources, developing the annual ministry calendar, and partnering with Journey Kids Leads to plan weekend services and key events.
- Establish and maintain clear systems, processes, SOP’s, IPO’s and the Journey Kids Ministry Playbook.
- Ensure each location is developing healthy leadership pipelines that recruit, train, and multiply volunteer leaders.
- Evaluate ministry effectiveness through defined outcomes and ministry dashboards across all locations, adjusting strategy and leadership development as needed.
- Partner with Location Pastors and other departments to maintain alignment in Journey Kids environments and ministry strategy while modeling Christ-like leadership to staff, volunteers, and the church.
