We are a community marked by God’s grace and committed to sharing the good news of the gospel with those around us. We believe God accomplishes His purposes through ordinary people like us—individually, through small groups, as we expand locations, as we plant new churches, and through partnerships with like-minded ministries in our city and beyond.
Our Mission:
Saturating Greater Austin With The Love Of Jesus
Our Vision:
At Hill Country Bible Church our approach to saturating Greater Austin with the love of Jesus is found in stewarding a growing movement where you and your family can…
- Follow Jesus
- Grow together
- Impact others
- Live with Purpose
It is our hope that you and those around you will fully encounter God’s love in a life-impacting way through the people and experiences of Hill Country Bible Church. No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’re going through, Hill Country is a place where you can start your journey with Christ and others.
We are excited to see you follow Jesus in every aspect of your life. We are devoted to making it easy for you to find small group opportunities where you can pursue God and grow together in authentic community. We pray you discover the joy of using your gifts to serve and impact others, while going deeper as we intentionally live with purpose.
Core Values:
- Responding to God’s Word: The Bible is trustworthy as our complete and final authority.
- Celebrating Life Change: We intentionally share the good news of Jesus, celebrating as God transforms lives.
- Engaging Generations: We think past individual life stages, extend connections, and build bridges across all ages.
- Thinking Beyond Ourselves: We adapt ourselves to the needs around us—looking for opportunities to stretch, give generously, and expand.
- Loving Our Neighbors: Every person matters to God; we invest deeply in the places where we live, work, and play.
- High Relation over Task: This is a unified team that actively chooses relational alignment, humility over ego, and collective collaboration over traditional departmental silos.
- Earned Autonomy: Senior leadership values “open hands over tight control.” Teammates are given the freedom to conceptualize, iterate, and run with vision that aligns with the church’s mission.
- Positivity: We celebrate God’s work and meet every situation with confident joy, trusting His good purpose.
- Courage: We act with Spirit-led boldness—taking wise risks and persevering in obedience even when it’s costly.
- Selfless: We put others first by equipping and empowering them for ministry and choosing to think of ourselves less.
- Clarity: We communicate transparently with clear objectives so people can navigate challenges confidently.
- Weekly Gathering Arc: Lead and collaborate in the full creative arc, pacing, dynamic transitions, and spiritual flow of all central corporate weekend environments, ensuring a cohesive tone that ties the musical expression into the spoken word.
- Volunteer Shepherding & Pipelines: Direct, care for, and mentor the current pool of volunteer musicians and vocalists. Intentionally build out multi-band rotations (historically maintaining 4 full band layers) to safeguard volunteer health and protect against platform burnout.
- Creative Collaborative Input: Sit as a core contributor within the weekly and twice-monthly multi-week strategic experience loops alongside Production, Communication, and Connections to map seasonal production logistics.
- Platform Execution & Direction: Formulate dynamic musical arrangements and direct rehearsals with instrumental and vocal components, bringing high baseline musical credibility to communicate dynamisms clearly.
- Seasonal Event Engineering: Oversee the structural blueprint, execution, and multi-service replication of high-volume seasonal markers (such as Easter and Christmas weekends tracking 7,000–8,000+ corporate attendances across looping services).
- Minimum Experience Baseline: 5+ years of continuous lead pastoral worship experience within a multi-service evangelical church framework demonstrating a standard attendance baseline of 500+.
- Proven Scale Experience: Demonstrated track record orchestrating large-scale rotating musician tracking frameworks and leading complex, high-capacity seasonal productions without operational compromise.
- Theological & Structural Alignment: Complete alignment with non-denominational evangelical statements, an elder-led plurality framework, and a traditional complementarian ecclesiology.
- Musical Credibility: Strong individual platform vocal and instrumental competency paired with the capability to translate keys, digital tracks, and dynamic arrangement cues to multi-layered bands.
- Disqualifying Factors: Platform-driven motivators or branding ambition that supersedes a pastoral shepherding identity; history of solo-performance paradigms without a track record of scaling teams or volunteer reproduction.
