Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team (Sr. Graphic Designer, Videographer, Project Manager)
- Create and implement scalable communication systems that support both centralized church-wide initiatives and decentralized ministry messaging
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to translate vision into cohesive, compelling communication strategies across channels
- Provide creative leadership to branding, visual identity, digital content, and storytelling efforts
- Equip ministry teams with tools, coaching, and confidence to communicate effectively with their audiences
Key Qualifications
- Strategic Implementation: Leans in with curiosity to understand where God is leading the church and builds systems that align communications and storytelling with that vision.
- Empowerment of People: Knows how to lead others through change, stay relationally grounded, and cultivate an environment where leadership is shared and multiplied for greater impact.
- Experienced in Audience Engagement: Brings strong intuition for audience behavior and crafts messaging that builds trust, sparks engagement, and leads people to meaningful action.
- A clear and calming presence: Helps teams prioritize, plan, and stay focused on what matters most amidst complexity.
- A translator between church and culture: Understands both the language of the unchurched and the depth of the Gospel, helping the church communicate with clarity, empathy, and mission.
- Required Experience & Expertise:
- 5–10 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or creative leadership, Ideally in a church, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization with a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and managing complex projects
- Digital marketing fluency: Proficiency in web, social media, email marketing, analytics, and content strategy; comfortable using data to guide decisions.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills; Able to write and coach others to write compelling, clear content that reflects the tone and theology of a church like Hill Country.
