About This Organization

Conveniently located in Pierce County next to Tacoma and a 50-minute drive north to Seattle, High Pointe Church has been connecting people to Jesus since it began in 2000. The church has a passion to reach the community and beyond with the hope of Jesus and has been blessed with healthy growth. They are a community of people who, by the grace of God, are seeking to grow as followers of Jesus.  They acknowledge their brokenness and that the path to healing is through Jesus.  It is a come-as-you-are church family. When you attend you will hear inspiring worship music and practical teaching from the Bible. If you come with children know that it’s our goal that they have the best hour of their week!

Sunday morning worship is the front door to the church. They work hard to be warm and welcoming.  It’s important that worship is led with authenticity and being mindful of the different spiritual conditions of those present.  This church balances excellence with authenticity so people leave having experienced God’s presence and not a concert.

Location

“Coming from the East Coast, Washington felt like a foreign country for myself and my family. The beautiful nature, the many parks, and Mt Rainier are stunning, but what really took away that foreign feel was the way that we were embraced by High Pointe. We felt like we had a large family that helped us to grow and thrive. Having such a large church family championing us to do our best allowed me to thrive in ministry. It helped me to realize quickly that I did not move out here for a job. I came to Washington for the calling to make disciples with my brothers and sisters at High Pointe Church.”

Steven HinkeldeyDirector of Spiritual Growth

Life in the area has a relaxed, family-centered vibe, blending small-town warmth with the conveniences of a growing suburban area. Graham is not far from historic downtown Puyallup with local shops, restaurants, farmers markets and host of the Washington State Fair which is the largest in the Pacific Northwest.

The natural beauty of the region is always close by.  On clear days, you can see dramatic Mt. Rainier which dominates the skyline and is a constant reminder of how close we are to all kinds of recreational activities in the summer and winter.  Overall, the area offers a comfortable balance of suburban stability, natural scenery and a strong community spirit.
