About This Organization

Hessel Church has been part of Sonoma County for 113 years. Since their earliest beginnings in 1909, they have enjoyed a rich spiritual legacy passed on by generations who faithfully demonstrated a never-ending dependence and reliance on God’s Word. Hessel humbly embraces its rich heritage and has a desire to pass it along to all who will follow. Jesus said in John 17:17 that God’s word is truth, and Hessel holds that promise dear as they practically apply the message of God’s Word to this and the next generation. This is why Hessel’s mission is to; lead people to Follow Jesus and Be His Presence in this generation. Hessel is blessed with a wonderful staff who lead a wide range of ministries that prioritize teaching God’s Word, making disciples, and supporting local and global missions.

God has brought many new families to join their fellowship over the last season. Hessel has an active, vibrant leadership training program. They are a multi-generational fellowship with active children and youth programs. They are in the middle of the construction of a 4,400 sq. ft. Patio Pavilion that has been fully funded. Hessel consistently meets or surpasses its giving goals for the year. They have a strong leadership team made up of humble-confident leaders.

In this past season, God has seen fit to bless Hessel with a top-notch facility right in the heart of Santa Rosa. The leadership of Hessel realized the Lord was calling them to multiply the ministry of their healthy Christ-centered church into the Santa Rosa community. After much prayer and study of the local community, Hessel has felt called to take the significant step of faith to not only engage in a multi-site vision but to build their new campus in a manner that prioritizes the reach of the Gospel into the Spanish-speaking community with surrounds their new campus. It is an exciting, uncharted, faith-filled season Hessel Church is now entering!
