Heritage Church is a multi-site, multi-generational church in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, with its central campus in Lake Zurich. The Lake Zurich campus recently opened a 35,000-square-foot addition that includes a 1,000-seat auditorium and a large new lobby space. This state-of-the-art facility allows Heritage to serve both the church and the surrounding community in new and exciting ways. With locations in Lake Zurich, Barrington, and Round Lake Beach, Heritage is unified in its programming and ministry philosophy while giving each campus some level of freedom to craft ministry for its local neighborhood.

Position Description

Heritage Church is seeking a full-time Creative Director to help tell the story of a growing, multi-site church through strategic communication, compelling design, and collaborative leadership. This role plays a key part in shaping how people experience Heritage, both within the church and in the surrounding community. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and brings both creative vision and operational follow-through. Experience leading worship would be a valued bonus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic planner, collaborating with executive leadership to shape the message, visual identity, and overall look and feel of the church
  • Lead marketing and communications efforts with excellence, overseeing public relations, internal messaging, and external communication strategies across multiple platforms and audiences, including church members, stakeholders, and the broader community
  • Produce, manage, and curate graphic and video content for weekend services, social media, digital platforms, and external communications
  • Contribute creative ideas and elements for weekend services, while facilitating regular planning meetings and maintaining a consistent process to bring ideas to life
  • Own the vision for projects from concept to delivery, ensuring smooth execution through effective project management
  • Provide consultation and collaboration across campuses and ministries, helping staff and departments develop branded materials, visuals, and collateral for digital, print, and web-based communication
  • Manage and champion the Heritage Creative workflow
